A sliver of good housing news
In bad times, you have to take your good news wherever you can get it. In this case, that means getting it from the National Association of Realtors.
The trade group, the largest representing real estate agents, announced that home sales in November actually rose. Sure, they only rose 0.4 percent in the month, but that’s better than yet another decline, right?
Of course, the news isn’t so good once you look at it a bit deeper. Housing sales in November of 2007 were 20 percent lower than they were in 2006.
